DJI Matrice 400 vs 350 RTK: Specs, Flight Time & Upgrade Guide

The Upgrade Question

Matrice 400 vs Matrice 350 RTK

The 350 RTK is discontinued, so if you are buying now the real question is what you gain by moving to the 400. Here is the honest side-by-side. Short version: more time in the air, more lift, and a sensing system the 350 never had.

Move to the 400 if

You want longer flights on the same payloads, you need to lift heavier or fly multiple sensors at once, or you do powerline and infrastructure work where the rotating LiDAR and radar earn their keep.

Already on a 350 RTK?

Your existing payloads carry over. The L2, P1, and H30-class cameras you already own mount on the 400, so the upgrade is the airframe, not your whole kit. Call us and we will walk through what transfers.

Bottom line

The 350 RTK was a great airframe and a lot of teams still fly it. But it is end of life, and the 400 beats it where it counts: roughly 40 percent more flight time once you hang a real payload, more than double the lift, and a sensing package built for the kind of work the 350 could not safely do near wires and structures.

If you are replacing a 350 or standing up a new program, the 400 is the platform to build on. Your existing payloads come with you. Call us and we will tell you straight whether the 400 is the right move for your missions or whether a 4T or 4E gets you there for less.
