This Shipping Policy describes how Covert Drones LLC ("Covert Drones," "we," or "us") ships products purchased through covertdrones.com. By placing an order, you agree to the terms of this Shipping Policy.
Standard Delivery Window
Most orders are delivered within 5 to 7 business days of order acceptance and payment confirmation. This estimated window includes order processing, preparation, carrier transit, and final delivery. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays.
Delivery windows are estimates, not guarantees. Actual delivery times may vary based on product availability, carrier performance, shipping destination, weather, customs processing (where applicable), and other factors outside of our reasonable control. Covert Drones is not liable for shipping or delivery delays.
Free Shipping Within the Contiguous United States
Covert Drones offers free standard shipping on all orders delivered to addresses within the contiguous (lower 48) United States, with no minimum order required. Free shipping applies to standard ground delivery via the carrier of our choice, typically UPS or FedEx.
Free shipping does not apply to:
- Orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, or APO/FPO/DPO military addresses
- Expedited or priority shipping requested by the buyer
- International orders
- Orders requiring special handling, hazmat surcharges, or freight shipping
- Re-shipment of orders returned due to undeliverable or refused delivery
Shipping for orders outside the contiguous United States is quoted on a case-by-case basis and will be communicated to the buyer prior to shipment.
Order Processing
Orders are typically prepared and shipped within the standard delivery window above. We do not separately commit to a specific processing time, as our overall delivery window includes preparation. Orders placed on weekends or U.S. federal holidays begin processing on the next business day.
High-volume periods, manufacturer supply variability, and order verification requirements may extend the standard delivery window. We will notify you if your order requires additional time beyond the standard window.
Shipping Carriers and Methods
We reserve the right to ship via the carrier and method of our choice, including UPS, FedEx, USPS, or freight carriers for oversized shipments. Carrier selection is based on destination, product, hazmat requirements, and operational considerations. Expedited shipping options may be available at the buyer's expense and on request.
Tracking
Once your order ships, a tracking number will be emailed to the address provided at checkout. You are responsible for monitoring the tracking information and notifying us promptly of any delivery issues.
Signature on Delivery
Due to the value and nature of our products, most orders require an adult signature on delivery. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that someone is available to sign for the package at the shipping address provided. If a delivery attempt is missed, the carrier will typically attempt redelivery and may hold the package at a local carrier facility for pickup.
Packages returned to Covert Drones due to repeated failed delivery attempts, refused delivery, or buyer unavailability may be subject to round-trip shipping costs and a restocking fee in accordance with our Refund Policy.
Title and Risk of Loss
Title and risk of loss for all products pass to the buyer upon transfer of the package to the shipping carrier (F.O.B. shipping point). Once a package leaves our facility or our supplier's facility, the buyer assumes all risk of loss, damage, theft, or destruction during transit. Claims for loss or damage in transit are the responsibility of the buyer to file with the carrier, except as expressly covered under our Refund Policy for verified Dead-on-Arrival (DOA) items.
Shipping Address Accuracy
The buyer is solely responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address at the time of order. Covert Drones is not responsible for orders that are delayed, returned, lost, or undeliverable due to incorrect, incomplete, or inaccurate shipping information provided by the buyer.
Address changes after an order has been shipped cannot be guaranteed. If a buyer requests an address change after shipment, any associated carrier fees, re-routing costs, or re-shipment costs are the buyer's responsibility.
Lithium-Ion Battery and Hazmat Shipments
Drone products and batteries contain lithium-ion cells classified as UN3481 hazardous materials. These items are shipped in accordance with all applicable U.S. Department of Transportation, International Air Transport Association (IATA), and carrier hazmat regulations.
Due to hazmat restrictions:
- Lithium-ion batteries may not be shipped to P.O. Boxes
- Lithium-ion batteries may not be shipped via certain expedited methods
- APO/FPO/DPO addresses may have restrictions on hazmat shipments
- International shipments of lithium-ion batteries are subject to destination country regulations
Hazmat surcharges, where applicable, are included in the shipping cost quoted at checkout.
P.O. Boxes
We are unable to ship most enterprise drone products and any product containing lithium-ion batteries to P.O. Boxes. A physical street address is required for delivery of these items.
APO/FPO/DPO and U.S. Territories
Shipments to APO/FPO/DPO military addresses and U.S. territories (including Puerto Rico, Guam, and U.S. Virgin Islands) may be available on a case-by-case basis. These shipments may be subject to additional shipping fees, longer delivery windows, and restrictions on hazmat products. Contact us prior to ordering to confirm availability for your address.
International Shipping
International shipping is available on a case-by-case basis for select destinations. International orders are subject to:
- Customs duties, taxes, import fees, and tariffs, all of which are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in product or shipping costs
- Customs clearance processing, which may extend delivery times beyond the standard window
- Destination country import regulations, including any restrictions on drones, batteries, or related equipment
- U.S. export control laws and the Buyer's compliance representations in our Terms of Service
Covert Drones is not responsible for customs delays, customs seizures, refused shipments by foreign customs authorities, or any additional fees imposed by the destination country. Buyers refusing delivery of an international shipment due to customs charges may be responsible for round-trip shipping costs, customs fees, and a restocking fee.
Agency, Government, and Net 30 Orders
Orders placed by law enforcement, fire and rescue, government agencies, and other public buyers using Purchase Orders, Net 30 terms, or formal procurement processes are shipped in accordance with this Shipping Policy unless otherwise specified in writing on the official Purchase Order or contract. Agency buyers requiring specific shipping methods, signature requirements, or delivery timing should communicate these requirements at the time of order.
Damaged or Lost Shipments
If your order arrives with visible damage to the outer packaging, document the damage at the time of delivery, take photographs of the packaging and contents, and, where possible, refuse the shipment at the door. Notify Covert Drones within 72 hours of delivery in accordance with our Refund Policy.
If your tracking information shows delivery but the package has not been received, contact the carrier directly first to initiate a trace, then notify Covert Drones with the carrier's case number. Claims for lost packages must be initiated within 14 days of the carrier's reported delivery date.
Refused and Undeliverable Packages
Packages refused at delivery without prior authorization from Covert Drones, returned to sender due to failed delivery attempts, or returned due to inaccurate shipping information provided by the buyer may be subject to:
- Round-trip shipping costs (original outbound shipping plus return shipping)
- A restocking fee in accordance with our Refund Policy
- Storage fees if the package is held at a carrier facility before return
These costs will be deducted from any refund issued. To avoid these costs, contact us prior to refusing delivery so we can authorize the return and provide instructions.
Force Majeure
Covert Drones is not liable for any failure or delay in shipment caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, severe weather, fires, floods, war, terrorism, civil unrest, riots, government action, regulatory changes, sanctions, export restrictions, pandemics, public health emergencies, manufacturer supply chain disruptions, carrier delays or service interruptions, labor disputes, strikes, customs holds, cyber attacks, power outages, and telecommunications failures.
Changes to This Policy
Covert Drones reserves the right to modify this Shipping Policy at any time. The policy in effect at the time of your order applies to that specific order. The current version of this policy is always available at covertdrones.com/policies/shipping-policy.
