The DJI Matrice 4 Obstacle Sensing Module adds rotating LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar sensing for operations around complex infrastructure and in low-light environments.
For utility inspectors, public safety teams, and enterprise operators, this accessory provides additional sensing support when working around obstacles that can be difficult to identify visually.
The module combines two sensing technologies to help detect surrounding obstacles. It is particularly useful for operations near power lines, substations, and other infrastructure where careful flight planning and obstacle awareness are essential.
The module supports improved positioning and obstacle sensing in low-light conditions, helping operators manage flights when visibility is limited.
With an IP55 dust- and water-resistance rating, the module is designed for enterprise field operations. It weighs 235 g and has a specified operating temperature range of -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C).

Aircraft and other accessories are sold separately.
Obstacle sensing assists the pilot and does not guarantee collision avoidance. Performance varies with weather, target size, material, shape, and position. Thin wires and fast-moving objects may not be reliably detected.
The module adds weight to the aircraft. Account for it when planning payload configuration and flight time, and follow DJI’s installation and operating instructions.
Covert Drones is a family-owned U.S. drone supplier based in Haines City, Florida, serving enterprise operators since 2017.
