• Real-Time Live Voice Broadcast with built-in echo suppression. Talk through the RC Plus 2 microphone and the drone broadcasts your voice. • Pre-Recorded Messages for repeated or standardized communications. Useful for evacuation announcements, wildlife dispersal warnings, or any operation where the same message needs to broadcast at multiple sites without re-recording.
• Media Import Support for custom audio files imported to the controller. Broadcast pre-produced public address announcements, multilingual evacuation messages for diverse community response, or specific sound profiles for agricultural wildlife dispersal.
• Text-to-Speech Conversion for on-the-fly dynamic messaging without pre-recording. Type the message at the controller and the AS1 broadcasts it. Mounting and Compatibility

The AS1 mounts to the M4 series airframe using a quick-release bracket secured by hand-tightened screws. No tools required. The bracket is included with the speaker.

Operational Considerations

Maximum effective range of 300 meters is measured in optimal conditions with minimal ambient noise. Real-world range varies with wind, terrain features (forest absorbs sound, open water carries it further), and background noise levels at the receiver location. Urban environments, industrial sites, and high-wind conditions reduce effective range.

For SAR operations specifically, the AS1's most reliable use case is direct communication with a known-located subject at a known distance, not broad-area calling out across an unsearched terrain. For the latter, ground-team callouts combined with thermal detection are more effective than aerial speaker broadcasts.

For law enforcement use, verify with your agency's legal counsel that broadcast from an aerial platform meets your jurisdiction's announcement and warning requirements for the specific operational context (compliance order, evacuation, perimeter announcement). The AS1 is a tool, not a legal substitute for ground-team contact in situations where direct contact is procedurally required.

Protection and Coverage

This is genuine DJI hardware. If your AS1 Speaker arrives with a manufacturing defect, contact us within 72 hours of delivery and we'll coordinate a replacement at no cost to you under our DOA policy.

After the 72-hour window, manufacturing defects on this accessory may fall under DJI's standard accessory return process where applicable. We can help facilitate that process if needed.
